Live MIDI Steps - Creative Sequencer + MIDI Scaler for Ableton Live

Live MIDI Steps is a monophonic MIDI step sequencer with advanced playback and creative options. It also allows you to morph between MIDI sequences including all parameters, resulting in very complex and organic modulations. This can be great for ambient and experimental music. The user interface is freely scalable, which is not only an eye candy, but also allows very precise inputs via mouse or touch screen.

You can use it to create melodies, synth hooks or bass lines or even drum beats. You can use it as sample slicer by dropping it with Live's Simpler into the same MIDI track. Load a drum sample, choose as playback mode "Slice" and slice the file by beat in 8 or 16 slices.

With the device "Live MIDI Scaler" which is included in this package you don't have to be aware of "right" or "wrong" scale tones, just select one of 88 scales and you are always in tune with your Live Set. If you are not familiar with music theory just select a scale by ear.

You can create interesting harmonic turns by changing the scale while playing the MIDI sequence. Ableton offers the MIDI device "Scale", but changing scales via "Hot Swap" is very cumbersome and this parameter cannot be assigned to a controller.
